180 lessons working book by book through Scripture alongside metaethics, apologetic method, and an honest evaluation of church history.
About this course
Eleventh grade slows down and works book by book. The Old Testament units treat Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy each on their own terms rather than as one blur, then move through Joshua, Judges, Ruth, the united monarchy, the divided kingdom, the prophets, and the wisdom and poetry books. It does not step around the hard places. The lesson on Joshua takes up the command to destroy the Canaanite cities directly, sets out the considerations that bear on it, notes that Rahab was spared, and then says plainly that the Anabaptist tradition does not read the conquest as a model for Christian conduct. Church history is similarly candid: alongside Nicaea, Athanasius, Augustine, Benedict and monasticism, the Great Schism, and Anselm and Aquinas, there is a full lesson evaluating the Crusades that calls the massacres indefensible, acknowledges what provoked the campaigns, and draws the Anabaptist conclusion about what happens when the church takes up the sword.
The ethics strand this year is built on theory before application. It opens with metaethics and lays out divine command theory, natural law, and virtue ethics with the standard objection to each, then applies that framework to the sanctity of life, abortion, euthanasia, capital punishment, three Christian positions on war, wealth and poverty, competing economic systems, creation care, and marriage as covenant. Apologetics compares presuppositional and evidential method, then works through the cosmological, teleological, moral, ontological, and argument-from-reason cases, the New Atheists, the problem of evil, the minimal-facts argument for the resurrection, the claim that Jesus never existed, and a lesson on responding to Islam.
The course is 180 lessons across 15 units, one per school day, at about 30 minutes each. Lessons are compact, roughly 350 words of tightly packed argument with the King James text cited throughout, and a portion of them close with a Review and Apply section that hands you a specific question to ask and a verse to close in prayer. Every lesson ends with a ten-question multiple-choice quiz that grades itself. The material is written for a student who can already read theology and is ready to be handed the objections rather than shielded from them.

John 3:16
New Age spirituality and Eastern religions share a common emphasis: the divine is within, reality is one, and the self is either divine or part of a larger divine whole. Hinduism teaches that the individual soul (atman) is ultimately identical with the universal soul (Brahman). Buddhism teaches that the self is an illusion and that suffering is ended by escaping the cycle of rebirth through enlightenment. New Age spirituality synthesizes these Eastern ideas with Western individualism, producing a spirituality focused on personal transformation, cosmic energy, crystals, astrology, meditation, and the development of one's own divine potential. The Christian evaluation begins with the most fundamental question: Who is God? The Bible teaches that God is personal, distinct from creation, and holy. He is not the universe; He is the Creator of the universe. Humans are not divine; they are creatures made in God's image — which is different from being God. The New Age and Eastern spirituality offer genuine spiritual experience and respond to real longings for transcendence and peace. But they lead seekers away from the only One who can truly meet those longings — Jesus Christ, who is not one guru among many but the unique Son of God, the only mediator between God and humanity (1 Timothy 2:5). The Christian engages Eastern spirituality with both discernment and compassion.
Review and Apply: Ask your student: "What worldview or philosophical question did we examine today, and how does a biblical worldview answer it better than the alternatives?" Have them compare: how does secular humanism, relativism, or materialism answer this question — and where does each fall short? "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." — Colossians 2:8 (KJV). Remind them that every idea has consequences, and training the mind to evaluate ideas biblically is one of the most important skills they can develop. Close with prayer.
